Our history
McKeogh’s Hardware is a family run business for five generations. We celebrated our 150th anniversary in 2010. The business was started by James McKeogh in 1860. It started initially as a bakery and then developed into a grocery and hardware store. In 1999 the hardware store was re-developed into the building we now occupy. It is now run by Noel and Rosemarie McKeogh and their daughter Chiara.
The local community
We are very integrated into our local community and are proud to give support and sponsorship whenever possible to fundraising initiatives, events, clubs, agricultural shows, etc.
The Topline group
McKeogh’s Hardware joined the Topline buying group in 1999. Together with the other 150 stores nationwide that are affiliated to the group, we benefit from its bulk purchasing power, and its relationship with the world’s largest independent hardware group Ace Hardware. This allows us to compete effectively with national and international chain stores. We offer our customers competitive prices, friendly service and a welcoming shopping environment.
The team at McKeogh’s Hardware are looking forward with great confidence to the next 150 years serving our customers and community, Le Cúnamh Dé.
